EfficiencyOne is an independent, non-profit organization, that operates/administers the “Efficiency Nova Scotia” franchise.  We transform the way people use energy, by offering Nova Scotians programs and services that fulfill our mission to help people achieve their energy goals, save money, conserve resources, improve wellbeing, and combat climate change.   

EfficiencyOne will be issuing a Request for Proposals (RFP) to source a qualified firm to deliver a Customer Data Platform (CDP) to analyse data and trends that will enable EfficiencyOne to streamline the process for determining which energy efficiency messaging should be directed at specific customers, using data-driven decisions that uses a complete data toolkit. A CDP refers to an integrated software solution that aggregates and organizes all of a company’s customer data in one centralized location, where individual customer profiles are stored and accessible to all other tools, systems, and marketing efforts. In preparation for the RFP, EfficiencyOne is issuing this Preliminary Market Consultation (PMC)/Request for Information (RFI) to obtain feedback from interested companies with experience in providing the following types of services: 

  • Delivering a prebuilt solution that is configured to fit EfficiencyOne’s needs. While it may require some technical resources to set up and maintain, it won’t require the level of technical expertise of maintaining a data warehouse, ensuring that the business user has a high level of control;
  • Multiple software tools and sources of data that are interlinked to create an integrated; comprehensive database of customer activity across all marketing and sales channels; and,
  • Other tools in the technology stack, such as a marketing automation platform or customer relationship management tool, should have access to the EfficiencyOne CDP to pull information from the customer profiles to support their own initiatives.
