NOTIFICATION OF PLANNED PROCUREMENT (NPP-2024-0358)

Upcoming RFP for STRATEGIC ENERGY MANAGEMENT: SERVICE PROVIDER (RFP 2024-0358)

This NPP is issued to inform industry that EfficiencyOne intends to publish a Request for Proposal (RFP) to source a qualified and experienced firm to deliver the Efficiency Nova Scotia Strategic Energy Management (SEM) Service. The SEM Service is a program that offers participating companies an approach to achieve long term electricity energy savings by focusing on employee engagement, monitoring and management of regular operational activities, and taking action on no-cost/ low-cost energy efficiency opportunities. 

Services required would include the Service Provider being accountable for delivering to each participant an SEM program consisting of a wide range of energy management activities. These activities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Conduct program kickoff meeting
• Assemble energy team
• Conduct customer Energy Management Assessment
• Conduct energy kaizen event
• Conduct capital scoping study
• Develop an energy policy
• Provide progress reports and energy savings reviews
• Develop energy usage models
• Conduct measurement and verification in accordance with IPMVP standards
• Develop and maintain a list of action items
• Report monthly energy savings
• Report year-end energy savings

Procurement Phases

1. Notice of Planned Procurement (NPP-2024-0358): October 2024 – RFP release date

Interested parties should monitor this website https://efficiencyone.bidsandtenders.ca  for updates on the posting of the upcoming RFP.  They may also choose to Create an Account and select EfficiencyOne under “Agency Notifications” to receive updates when EfficiencyOne posts new procurement opportunities (e.g. the upcoming RFP for these services). In addition, please register for this NPP,  just so we ensure you are included in the invitations when the RFP is published.

    2. Request For Proposals (RFP-2024-0358):  Early December, 2024

It is anticipated that the RFP will be released on or about December 2, 2024. The posting will appear on this website (https://efficiencyone.bidsandtenders.ca), and include details regarding a Proponent Information Session.  The information session will be held online and is anticipated to occur during the week of December 9, 2024. 

Any company wanting to submit a response to the RFP will need to “Create an Account”, which can be done for FREE from the EfficiencyOne bids&tenders™ landing page https://efficiencyone.bidsandtenders.ca.

Creating an Account will allow the company to participate in any procurement EfficiencyOne posts to bids&tenders™ at no charge.
