NOTIFICATION OF PLANNED PROCUREMENT (NPP 2022-0283)Service Delivery: HomeWarming ProgramUpcoming RFP (2022-0283)This NPP is issued to inform industry that EfficiencyOne intendeds to publish a Request for Proposal (RFP) to source qualified firms to deliver the HomeWarming Program. The Efficiency Nova Scotia HomeWarming Program is a home retrofit program that services Nova Scotian homeowners on lower incomes. Eligible participants are provided with no-cost EnerGuide D evaluations and energy efficient home upgrades, followed by post upgrade EnerGuide E evaluations (if applicable). The objectives are to save eligible homeowners energy, reduce their carbon footprints, increase their disposable incomes, improve occupant comfort, and increase energy literacy. Building envelope upgrades are performed, where insulating and draft proofing are the primary means by which this is achieved. The Program will also include the installation of heat pump systems, primarily single-zone ductless heat pumps, in homes that meet certain eligibility criteria. Household appliance replacements of fridges, freezers and clothes dryers will also be considered for customers with old inefficient appliances.
